Last year’s system bid only filled EUR57F to 55% which implies a total staffing level of around 90. There are 65 active bidders and several in ITU or awaiting training. Based on what I can tell they will still need to send some more new hires over there to get to the staffing level shown on the system bid, however the training letter does not currently show any dates for that seat. Doesn’t mean they can’t add them at any time though.
Based on our idiotic and arbitrary training and bidding system, it could potentially be years before you are able to transfer over if you don’t get it in training. Bid awards don’t mean anything until the company decides they do. There are 757 FOs who were awarded widebody positions in December 2020 who still have no idea when they will train out despite new hires getting those seats immediately.
