SWA has done several of these phone polls over the last several years. They’re not conducted by your reps or even ALPA itself. They’re conducted by research groups, I believe the University of New Hampshire is one of them. You won’t be given a chance to debate with the caller, who isn’t a pilot, hasn’t much of an idea about what being a pilot entails, or even has an opinion one way or the other about your situation. It’ll be a lot of “On a scale of 1-5 how important is to you to increase your guaranteed number of days off.” It’s very sanitary from that perspective.
