I believe part of the fix was requiring future obligations to be funded at a higher %. Pre 2006 it was in the 20% range and that % was increased with the new legislation. That’s all off the top of my head from what I remember. My wife has a pension and it’s required to be funded at 80% of future obligations. It’s generally over 90% funded.
