I have 956 actual multi engine TPIC hours. I know that's under the 1000. But on SWA pilotcredentials, it does the 0.3 per sortie math and converts it for me. With SWA's own calculations, I'm at more like 1100 TPIC.
Should I answer "yes" to the question? I have a feeling answering "no" got me the TBNT last hiring window. Need some advice. I don't want to be untruthful but using SWA calculations, I do meet the criteria. I just don't want to get to the interview and have them question my integrity.
SWA just picked up one of my buddies with 1100 fixed wing mil and 121 and <50 TPIC. He met them at a job fair. The lack of 1000 TPIC isn’t the show stopper this year that it was in the past. Meet them at a job fair and they’ll overlook that deficiency in your application as well as others like having helicopter time in the logbook.
