Honestly I’m just trying to help out and I have nothing to gain. No it won’t help us get a TA if attrition picks up, it’s much cheaper to keep replacing the turnover. What you and I know about the operation and industry is NOT common knowledge unfortunately. The 2021 end of year salary survey was eye opening for most pilots here but it should not have been. The union’s industry contract comparison of our work rules was shocking to a lot even though it shouldn’t have been. Most new hires have never stopped to think if you can keep growing the large bases forever and park 100 planes in SFB for example. When they learn 90%+ of our future growth will be in new bases not announced yet it’s news to them. I’m just trying to keep expectations in check with reality. Are you not flying with depressed FO’s that were told they would get their FL base before training is over, a new TA this year and upgrade in 2-3 years in FL???
