Basically the vacancy was released with 27% fewer upgrades than they had announced there would be at the beginning of summer. And those upgrades are projected to go more senior than expected (on the SWAPA vacancy projection tool - basically a mock bid). Traditionally they don't go senior until after vacation bidding in September.
So where the early 2014 hires were able to choose from 3 or 4 domiciles last month, they're back to just OAK. So If I sound pessimistic, it's just because I'm an early 2014 hire. [emoji1787] But at the end of the day any movement up the list is better than the alternative!
