As the union pointed out, they have the manpower to track legitimate sick calls and fatigue but not to work through the
more than 5000 grievances currently recorded between the pilots and the company.
The FAA really should be getting involved in why the company is illegitimately tracking of the protected 117 fatigue program (not tracking what the route cause of the FAT calls is like they are supposed to), and while they are at it, ask why there is pressure for pilots and FA's to work when sick. Perhaps they should look in to the integrity of the appointed post holders in the organization and look at some of their correspondence with the pilot group, and how it can only be described as 'pilot pushing' due to inadequate staffing levels. This is an overall Just culture failure which the FAA has the power to address but elects not to at this time.
