I agree we should have taken the clue when the company offered a bankruptcy error retirement LAST NOV. Our MEC choose to not lead that fight. WE let that stand.
So now they are saying it better be done by the end of AUG or else.... Well how is that going to work? Will the MEC suddenly start leading in Sept? We are not hosting an ALPA wide 9/1 Informational picketing event is support of all ALPA pilots in sections 6, including us. We are the only cargo "A" carrier in ALPA and we are staying on the sidelines while the rest of ALPA stand united. How do we look to the rest of the industry, and the company? If it is too hard to stand with our fellow pilots in support of the collective goals, How do you think this is going to end?
ALSO, and AIP is a really bad idea. It can be said that the AIP in'15 is the cause of our increased Grievance Committee budget from $385K/ year in '17 to $600K now. It can further be said we did not do well in the final language of the AIP, you know the things that got worked out later like quality of life issues.
ALPA got the money up front. Funny how that happens.
We need a complete TA to vote on, not vague language that will be negotiated later. To vote for an AIP again is fooling us twice. We know who's fault that will be.
