As far your actual claim...it's pretty common for unions to negotiate a "me too" with the other work groups at their carrier. This isn't just AFA but rather something every union does...including ALPA.
You didn't see the pilots complaining about that "me to" because we did not get a pay raise from the non-con pay raise!
What you are referring to is in PWA 3.B.4
When DL gives an across the board pay raise to its US based non pilots, a review of the pilot pay is triggered.
It uses the highest pay rate for the 757 and compares it to the highest pay rates of the 757 at UAL and AAL. If the DL rate is less than 100% of the average of the UAL/AAL rates then the DL rate is raised.
But it is raised the lesser of a) the % required to match the AAL/UAL average rate or b) the % raise that was given to the non-pilots,
When the FA's got the 4% raise, the review was triggered but because AAL and UAL 757 rates have been static for many years just like ours, then no pay raise for the pilots because our 757 rates is higher than the AAL/UAL avearge.
DL could give a 100% pay raise to all the non-cons, and the pilots still wouldn't get a raise becuase our average 757 rate is > than AAL/UAL.
