2. Don't commute if you can avoid it. EVER! I commute TUS-PHL and it sucks. I was awake for 37 hours last week trying to get home and being too stubborn to rent a hotel room.

3. If you find a job at a stable company you'd like to work for but can't stand the idea of living on the east coast then suck it up and commute. but commuting sucks the life out of you and you'll never be home. See 1 and 2

I hold a line and still spend about 8 days or less home every month because of my commute. But that's my/my family's choice and I like my company.
