Must be set pretty chill if that combination of circumstances is hot enough to be called hell. Prior to Covid nyc was by far the easiest commute for many, we didn’t have commuter hotels then either. There were some decent enough crashpads if you asked around a bit, the key is finding a pilot-only place. No other city in the system can get you hot and decently priced food delivered for relatively cheap at midnight when your delayed commute finally makes it in. It’s not better than driving, but it’s one of the most commutable bases even with the irops.
