F-15 is surprisingly easy to fly. Read some of the old WWII histories where a pilot getting a "checkout" in a new squadron would get a short briefing on reference speeds and 15 minutes on what some of the switches do, and off they go... Almost all of those planes were harder to fly than the F-15. The pure flying isn't really the hard part in the F-15 and probably anything newer. Doing something useful in the plane, now that's a different matter entirely.
