Depends on your definition of success WRT to rolling thunder. My friends that do it don’t work more days than they would have had they not picked up GS’. The whole point of RES GS is that you can do the same (or less) amount of work for double the pay, not to just pick up as much flying as possible.
Some people may do that, but I’d wager the vast majority do not.
