Former regional and then ULCC. This is the best job I’ve ever had. It’s not for everyone, but it is for me. I love absolutely everything about it.
I was on my company paid ticket home (no stress). Mainline flight from LA to ATL. Every 20-30 minutes, we’d hit a pocket of light chop and the captain would turn the seatbelt sign on and make the obligatory PA.
But he sounded so monotone and absolutely done with everything. Like….. I felt bad for him. But it also removed ANY doubt in my mind of wanting to go anywhere else. I’ll take wiping down the tray tables but flying into ASE or TEX over doing an ILS after ILS after ILS to the same six airports.
YMMV, but this is the best thing to ever happen to me.
