I don’t think anyone is justifying the lack of hotels for new hires. However, I’m not aware of any airline management group that spends more than what is negotiated in the pilot’s contract. We should be forthright with new hires; the increased first year pay and the 10k bonus are only recent improvements. I have not heard of training hotels being discussed.
