I do think you will see some larger swings in pockets of the seniority list. But for reasons that take longer to explain, and wouldn't change the outcome anyway, they are necessary to be fair overall, and still will neither amount to a windfall nor a catastrophe.
If we go straight relative, I lose nothing (obviously, this outcome won’t happen). If we go straight DOH, I’d lose more than 17% (another outcome that wouldn’t happen). Split the difference, I still lose more than 8%, a suboptimal outcome for someone who is currently projected to retire a narrow-body Captain at less than 1% relative seniority (not quite singe digit #, but very close).
It’s pointless to fret over it though, I control NOTHING when it comes to SLI. I’ll sweat over something I can somewhat control (the negotiations of a JCBA).
