Guess the company is happy with 24-7, any base, short call reserves saving the company paying overtime to pilots who play by the rules.
Meanwhile, CS can not get through coverage because of the OOBWS wanting to see everything on ARCOS (fishing for the f'up) and dumps the trips to Crew Tracking for reroutes. Some OOBWS pick up knowing they can not make pick up time. They'll happily enjoy a meal and maybe catch the next flight if it suits them while hundreds of passengers and their fellow crewmembers wait through a long duty day.
I hear you, Bucking. I do…
No calling in sick. That’s right the f out. Getting it started all has to do with SWP, and relative reserve req vs reserve avail.
Like I said, it chaps me to see A’s doing it. Though PWA legal, I’d like to see the contract change in that department to keep it from happening. It’s abrogating seniority. But that change will likely never happen.
I also won’t begrudge a NH B from avoiding an involuntary 2-leg commute when he/she can, either.
