Yeah but the 50s and 60s were also the dawn of the jet age and space age. They had gone from propellers to rockets within the span of a decade. Everyone in the world had their head spinning at the technological advances and promoting it was high fashion. Everyone was doing it and Pan-American World Airways was at the forefront. I doubt Pan Am had any problems with recruiting or retention at that point lol. It was one of the most sought after jobs in the world.
