To be clear, under current book, a new hire has an 8-D-1 equipment training freeze that starts on day 1 of basic indoc per 8-D-5. That means they may bid up in band but not laterally or down. The company may decide to waive freezes on a case by case basis after consultation with the SSC per 8-D-6.
