We are for the first time getting acknowledgement from Alaska that pilots commute…Alaska Airlines is going to offer substantial staffing adj. leaves to FA’s starting in Sept until next summer…FA movement has always been a signal of direction here…Ben still uses the word “Deal” when talking publicly about the pilot contract…Like a sleazy real estate agent or car salesman. He is very comfortable with the rates of hiring and attrition….It is a great, non-believers purge in his and the rest of corporates mind. The focus by corporate has moved on to single fleet superiority and the significant savings coming with it.
