Alaska management is sh*tting themselves because they know what's coming down the pike. They are desperate to lock in 18% because they know after the big 3 get deals next year they'll have to pay 30%.
But as long as there are suckers who yell "TAKE IT!" at the first opportunity, then we'll always be one step behind.
You might want to call your union rep and have a chat. Literarily everything you are saying and worried about is false. Put yourself at ease and call, they are working hard to put the protections in place so we don’t fall behind again.
