My initial inclination was to bid 190, especially since I’m typed on the 175, and then bid the 320 after a year or two like you suggested. But I’d love to fly the bus and just want to weigh my options !

For background I live in NY about 45 mins from JFK. Currently in phase 2 of the hiring process.
There is a lot of VDA/premium on all fleets. VDA is offered in seniority order, premium is whoever is fastest picking it up from flica.

320SQ schedules are all just 3day trips back and forth to London paying about 15-17hrs. Not that great for productivity. As a 320SQ reserve pilot they can pull you to fly other domestic trips. 320SQ lineholders can drop London trips and pick up domestic flying, assuming the reserve staffing allows the drop (BIG assumption, staffing levels suck).

the main draw of the 190 would be a lot more 1-2day trips. You will have a much harder time getting that on the 320.
