Pay aside and if basing being equal... I would never say slam dunk.

Me personally, after jumpseating on UPS/FDX a bunch, while the crews have been great and the jumpseating experience has been relaxing, the flying/cargo ramp life just isn't my cup of tea. I think alot depends on the flying you would be doing at a 121 airline. MD88/717/737 up and down the East Coast for life, maybe not. But it is nice doing a widebody transon, or 3 or 4 man international crew, relaxing in a 1st class seat or bunk for a chunk. I happen to like the airline pilot lifestyle and interacting with the customers. Key is to find the "life" that you would enjoy doing more, and avoid airport food every meal for a 4 day trip.
