In no way will someone get in trouble for calling out an illegal crew desk assignment for which you should be compensated. Transparency allows that determination. Nefarious or immoral? Give me a break.
My apologies, but the United MEC does have a history of redefining the term “scab” when it has suited their purposes. And you’re right, I was mentored at the USAIRWAYS MEC, a zero-scab environment, so it was 8 years into my career before I ever flew with one, outside the military.
In all honesty, this just seems like something that you’re more passionate about than me. We probably agree on most of the issues, this has just never been a priority to me; in that we differ. Godspeed
