I don’t know the real time data on the current regional workforce but I’ve “heard” Mesa is down to 800 total pilots, and Gojet has under 100 Captains remaining. The regionals are drying up at the same rate as Lake Mead and the training programs that created the next generation of pilots will be wiped out if the regionals blow up.
I can tell you at SkyWest we have 5000 pilots but only around 3,600 are actually flying the line.
