Call me crazy, but instead of threatening gate agents with disciplinary action for too many late departures, or asking pilots who are in contract negotiations to not “quiet quit”(*)maybe allowing gate agents to code a D+5 or D+10 as “non-revs delay” without fear of reprisal is a better idea?
Or, you know. I can pester the gate agent. They seem nice and not at all under intense pressure for an on time departure.
*- I’m sympathetic, but getting non revs on board is nowhere in the pilot wheelhouse.
