Let’s face it, the system we are stuck with right now is due to the fact that it gives management way more control than competing systems. The paint point in our system is abrogation of seniority, which other competing systems seem to mitigate a lot better. So let’s look at them, all.
DL has long large bids like FDX. Most airlines have fast upgrades currently. Our mega bid system allows larger movements to higher paying seats quicker. I could care less if we kept our current system or not. Simply saying no system is without it’s warts. Is it really something we want changed over the numerous other things? It has worked for me changing numerous airplanes and bases.
