I don’t think the Delta pilots on this thread understand. The issue is whether you can block one particular page called a “master schedule”. If one elects to block said master, it does not remove that Pilot’s footprint from any other, more useful, page; only that one page. In short, the master schedule is very elementary when one considers the other plethora of information that United Pilots have at their fingertips.
We have had very involved discussion about the blocking issue at BoD. While Delta’s schedule provides more info than U item’s master schedule, United has a lot more sources, and many more electronic vehicles to track trips and assure transparency.
IMHO, the United master schedule is the weakest tool in the draw when it comes down to transparency. It’s simply voyeurism. So much more information is available through our system. And as stated, it’s only that one page. Blocking will not remove a Pilot from any of the other more robust methods of assuring transparency.
