Generally speaking, commuting policy is a commuter's obligation to avoid discipline. Here we must have primary & backup, separated by 2 hours,
and for UTC the second flight must be on us. We must consider loads 24hrs prior. Compare with peers:
- AA - JS bookable 1 week out. 1 flight primary (OAL or AA) & no backup required.
Again… there is no primary flight required at AA, as commuting is not limited to air travel. Get a flat tire, a fender bender, train derail, rollerblade bearing fail, hoverboard hits water and you don’t have power- it doesn’t matter. Commuter policy protects you.
