you clowns think you just know everything. i wasn't told a 1.5 yr upgrade and wouldn't choose a company based on the upgrade, just like i wouldn't work for free, nor do i care if it's a shiny new jet or an atr or anything. i made the decision to work here based on my needs in my life just as i'm sure all of you did in choosing the company you work for. too many people on here assume. so yes, it was a very educated decision. its not the problem of a free market that brings this industry down, its the problem of ALL pilots not being unified against management. its funny, i read the following in an email from our MEC:

MEC members attended a joint fee for departure meeting in St. Louis, Missouri. Elected leaders from 12 ALPA regional carriers to include: Air Canada Jazz, American Eagle, Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Champion, Comair, Express Jet, Mesa Air Group, Mesaba, Piedmont, Pinnacle, PSA, and Trans States Airlines met to discuss strategies for protecting jobs and building careers at regional airlines.
One of the major issues facing all regional pilots is management's game of musical airplanes. Their game of moving aircraft from one carrier to another at the expense of pilots' lifestyles and careers must be challenged. Solutions must be found that
will address these and other job security issues facing regional pilots.

Imagine that, we are working with your airlines. This is what is bringing down the industry. Managements ability to do what they want. And as long as all pilots are not unified as one collective union, they will continue to do so. Believe me, I feel I should be getting paid more than this, and I'm fighting for that. You guys need to stop attacking your fellow pilots. You speak of us as if we are GoJet. You guys make me sick.
