Argus Wyvern and the insurance requirements determine the hiring mins for the larger 135s. If a guy or gal wants to work for a regional and do that type of industry work, then pay shouldn’t influence them either way. 135 is more work for less money, but IMO more rewarding. I realize that’s a minority opinion.
Having done both I agree with you. Not having to commute is huge too. Having said that, someone who just spent close to six figures learning how to fly may feel the pull of the extra money at the regionals too strong to resist. All of the 135s and fracs will need to up their game if they want to keep the ranks adequately staffed moving forward.
