Exactly my point. Regionals are totally capable of going bankrupt if they can't retain pilots. $200/hr for an RJ captain is a great start, but isn't going to fix their retention problem.
It's all just triage until the narrowbody deliveries start. Then the regional network will be shrunk to about 1/3 its current size. The days of labor whipsaw or arbitrage if you prefer a more sophisticated term are over for now. Will they return someday? History suggests so.
