One thing I was taught early on is that every pilot needs a side hussle. I've been running an online business for 10 years and I'm also starting to get into real estate by doing a crashpad (
www.dfwcrashpads.com).
It really helps that you've got a wife to support you on whatever you decide to do. Not sure where you're at in your career, but you're likely not working every day. So, answer phones, return texts, get on the same calendar has her. You're really going to have to communicate and work together (which can be stressful on a marriage).
I say go for it, but don't expect it to take off overnight. You'll have a lot of competition since a bunch of people got into the real estate game with the skyrocketing prices of homes the past year. Some say we're due for a correction. Either way, treat it like a business and approach it like you're going to be a realtor for 20 years. Do the long game.
