I think it's great. The more people that shun Spirit to stay at their regionals the better message it sends to management. Just like the free market economy utopia that every 5th captain preaches at me on some transcon redeye.
CA pay rates at a regional now are great. To not want to go back to our new hire training pay, first year pay and medical benefits farce is totally understandable. 15%DC is great but at what expense? Not being able to pay your rent? The fact that you absolutely need to dip into savings to come to Spirit and to potentially rely on cobra makes us total bottom feeders, even when compared with regionals.
The only reason anyone comes here now is for legacy flow and honestly It's blowing my mind that anyone is coming to class at all.
