So again....since we are taking about Carriers in the US, where pilots move around, not very probable or cost effective. I think the discussion was about hiring low time 172 type and move them into the rt seat of a 767. You really produce a pilot with almost nothing to offer in experience when fighting wx, slippery runways, high terrain, language barriers, all the different countries procedures that take years to learn. The Captain is really just single pilot, as I said alot of work. We have seen an uptick of upgrade failures because of only being at the airline a couple of years and really only flying a few select routes.
At AJT is more like the autopilot is the only pilot.
