My gut is reserve rules and pay will improve next contract and bring upgrade times back to reality. Maybe sucking it up for 6-9 months ain’t a bad deal if door #2 has improvements down the road.
Or maybe you should send them their captain slots back along with their Tumi TA. Bidding when you don't really know what you're bidding on is a poor idea.
