Glen was speaking specifically about an A350 derivative. The A338 has the same issue as the 787-8 as a 763 replacement; its too heavy and has too much range than would be needed resulting in poor CASM. He also spoke of the 7ER fleet soldiering on for another 8 yrs or so, so it doesnt sound like a replacement has even been identified. I think they want to hold out for Boeing and the NMA.
