This was a test. If successful it would have been expanded to other categories and bases. Many senior guys live in FL. It was not just MCO guys bidding it. Relative seniority in other bases might well have improved. It has the potential to reduce average overall trip length system wide. It frees up jumpseats for those still commuting from MCO and would have been a big QOL gain for those actually bidding it. Again it was a test. We could have pulled it down at any time. Having them open it up and bid the positions and then yanking the program before the test had nothing to do with the actual VB program. It was a political stunt.
