Alaska will always be able to attract pilots who don't want to leave the PNW, and those pilots will always be willing to work at a discount to stay at their little 737 fleeted regional airline in the PNW. Those are the kind of guys who don't want to risk getting stuck with an ATL, JFK, DTW base for even a few months or have to go to training in ATL.

The pay rates in the new TA will leave AS pilots in the dust financially compared to their peers at UA/DL/AA/WN/FX/5X.

I hope someday that I am proven wrong.
