Having said that, the positives I’ve heard about AW seem to mostly be in relation to him dangling the idea of wide bodies, international flying, desirable domiciles, and cool new routes in front of pilots. We all know those sorts of things are like pilot catnip. They kinda make pilots want to hump his leg.
And then I remember we’re in Section 6, just started mediation, and BJ supposedly wants the contract wrapped up in a matter of weeks.
Could this move, at least in part, be a way of sort of implying shiny, and BIG!, new jets just might be coming around the corner? Could it be a way of getting our pilot group primed to vote yes when TA1 comes?
I don’t know but I definitely wouldn’t put it past them.
Let’s keep our defenses up. These guys have 51 years of experience playing the psychological game. They’re really good at it. Don’t underestimate them.
