Are all newhire pilots with at least 1000 hours 121 forced into upgrade? And regardless of recency?
I have been in the business aviation side for some time (but have plenty of 121 time including PIC in the E175) and am just looking to get through training, knock off the 121 rust in the right seat before upgrading. Hell, if I really had the choice, I'd rather just park myself in the right seat, sling gear and flaps, and sip on my coffee at CA pay. I certainly could care less about TPIC at this point. Money and QoL/sked mean more to me than a logbook entry. But how's the "forced upgrade" situation these days?
