Outside looking in, there's a reason I left AAG. I found better elsewhere. Found better QOL, room for me to fly more than just narrow bodies, and still live in PNW with no issues. I still don't see this TA making the necessary improvements after all the other legacy carriers have their contracts finished. It just brings it up to the standard that was 2015. Just my perspective and experience.
That's price for going first...
The reward for going first might be finishing it before the economy changes the landscape. But that's hypothetical (very real hypothetical), so I guess it will come down to personal risk tolerance. Younger guys might be OK suffering under status quo for a couple more years until the economy comes back and the pilot shortage goes back into full afterburner. Older guys might just want to lock it in.
I would not have minded if the vote closed AFTER the midterms. I wonder why 1 Nov was the selected as the retro cutoff
