I don't know why there is so much negativity on these threads when every pilot on here knows that the Union has guaranteed us an industry leading contract - they won't even let us vote on a contract if it is less than industry leading. So again i ask the question: why would you go anywhere else when you can get the easy day trips and the pay/work rules that the legacies have???
The truth is, the negative pilots on here think that bashing the company is gonna give leverage to the Union in negotiations. If it was really as bad as they all say, they would have left already for a legacy. Shoot, if its as bad as they say, they'd be leaving in droves for Mesa given their new rates. So why do they stay, when they are likely years away from retirement (we have one of the youngest pilot groups in the industry)? Because they know how great the day trips are; they've already seen management is serious about improving the culture (we have fully replaced our training department and recently our scheduling department in the last 12 months). These pilots also know that we will get the industry leading contract we deserve and get to fly easy day trips and that there is no better airline to work for during a recession (the housing crisis was the gold rush for allegiant, huge revenue and pilot growth during that time).
If you trust the EXCO, as all the pilots on here do (minus Margi) then you all know that we will be the best airline for pay in addition to the best airline for QOL and the best airline for work rules. And negotiations have been picking up, Maury is still chasing AR and getting TAs done. Now that Alaska has TA'd their rates, I expect the union will be passing rates to management very soon. And yes, they will be higher than Alaska's.
I trust the EXCO but be carful in your listening. They will not put out a TA for anything less than industry standard.

I really like it when people cite the growth being dependent on a contract. There is nothing requiring that growth.
It’s just as likely that Allegiant will be smaller and flying an all 737 fleet under the current contract in a couple years.
Truth is it’s all a gamble. but there are reasonable ways to measure the odds of success. Allegiant was looking good for a while but the odds are getting longer as time goes by.
