I have an email into SWAPA asking this same question, but I'll put it out to the brains here...

How do you tell on the initial vacancy award if someone (or yourself) got a Lance captain award? As far as I can see, planning just surprises lances with a call saying you're going to upgrade when we feel like sending you. Kinda sucks too for guys that try to clear their schedules like me because my intention is to load it up prior to going to upgrade so that they have to pull those trips.
