First off, they lowered the minimum they are accepting the application, not the hiring mins. The hiring mins are the same, they are just having so much success with the RJO course they are sending lower time guys there first. Secondly, just because you lower mins does not mean you are lowering safety. Eagle has lowered their mins drastically in the past years just like everybody else, but they haven't lowered any standards in training. If a 250 hour pilot can get a type rating and be safe, why not let him. He will still be flying with a 7+ year eagle pilot. Finally, I love how people can complain about a company they don't work for. I can't say I didn't expect the worst out of the bystanders. If "IQuitEagle" wants to comment, I will whole heartedly take thier opinion. Better to be working someplace for 7 years before an upgrade than to just be hired at other regionals and already be getting furloughed. Now that makes me laugh Ninja. Just having time doesn't mean you are qualified.
