Don't be so sure. Someone like me who still has 10+ years left could hold MIA 320 CA at AA in 3 years or less. That would easily recoup the 2-3 year pay hit.
Why would I leave? Because I believe I will continue to back slide as this company shrinks and spend my twilight years in this industry junior with crap QOL or even in the right seat to stay in my base if I stay. I'm not moving up north either.
