Because you fly for their regional already. You will be much more attractive coming from the competition. That way they aren’t taking a pilot from their own aircraft. Outside of Aviate your chances are low to get to United from an Aviate carrier. It’s even been alluded to in Aviate conference calls by United in the past. That is absolutely the worst way to try to get to United.
