You just clarified for prospective new pilots how dire the situation is for the pilots on property at Republic.

Although I guess if I was new I'd hope this pay raise goes through and then drop half my reserve and collect the same paycheck and have 21 / 20 days off a month depending if it's a 30 or 31 day month.

Dropping to 0 is exactly what happens. I regularly credit 80-85 hours with 15-18 days off. It’s a risk, but I’ve always been able to pick up trips.

Personally, I don’t care if people know. This is my last month at RPA and I picked up what I needed. Even if I was staying, I told them what to do, not how to do it. There’s an art to all this.

I hope the TA helps with lines and spreading the flying. Worse case scenario, I’d be compensated 90% more for my troubles at a crashpad or do what you mentioned and drop most of my reserve days and pocket the same thing.

The flexibility is good on the FO side, just have to decide what’s important to you.
