Skywest is roughly 4 times the size of Mesa. (Arguably more stable). QOL varies but I can’t say one is better than the other. Mesa will build time faster. Mesa is significantly more money. 401Ks are within a percentage point or two. Don’t discount the 10.00/hr. That’s 760 a month more minimum and easily much more. You will probably credit 85-95 a month so that’s 850-950 a month more. Nearly 10,000 a year.
A 737 type rating is obtainable at Mesa and the 73 is no longer senior. Aviate is no joke.
If you get Aviate and keep your nose clean, you won't need to build time fast. Believe me, 90 solid hours a month gets old real quick. Mesa has virtually no soft time, no work rules. Is Skywest's work rules better, I'd at least look into it. The hotels at Mesa were getting better when I left, but they were still normally as close to the airport as they could get.
And the dirty secret....flying the 737 absolutely stinks. The e-jet is much better and pays the same.
