So much to unpack in this "guide"
Basically you should not say "Ladies and Gentlemen", "Mother and Father," "Husband/wife" "boyfriend/girlfriend", "brothers/sisters"
manpower, businessman, airman, congressman....
In a union, we are now no longer to refer to members as "brothers and sisters" and end a correspondence with "fraternally".
Most ridiculous is the end of the "guide"; "This is a working document and as such is under continuous review. Please send suggestions and comments to
[email protected]." As in "If this offends anyone, let us know, and we will adjust for you"
